Samsung is Stopping software support to its few Galaxy Smartphones in 2025. Samsung has announced many things earlier in this year. It always sticks to its software policies and also makes amendments according to the need.
In this sequence, it has decided to stop giving further updates on some specific Galaxy smartphones for Androids. On the other hand, a few new things were also announced like Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy S25 Series.
Reason: Why is Samsung Ending Further Software Updates on Some phones?
Samsung always provides long-term promising software support to its frontlined smartphones. It has been offering a guaranteed support period when launching new smartphones. It has recently announced to provide 7 years of support on Galaxy S25 Series smartphones. It will keep bringing One UI 7 updates to this series phones until 2032.
Similarly, the software support time of a few old flagship smartphones is about to be over in 2025. Those phones will not receive further software updates due to ending the software assurance period from Samsung.

What to Do, If Your Phone is in the Above List?
In case your smartphone is in the list, then it will no longer receive any major update after Android 15 OS update. However, your phone will continue to receive some security patch updates until final confirmation from Samsung to stop them. Your phone might receive regular security patch updates for around one year.
If your phone stops receiving software updates and you do not want to buy a new model at least for some time. Then we suggest you update your phone’s security patches regularly for security perspectives. However, you can manage to operate this phone for a little time, but you will have to switch to the latest phone soon for security reasons.
